Privacy Policy

clickTributes™ takes your security and privacy very seriously. This privacy policy describes our procedures for protecting the privacy of your personal information when you visit this site or the site of a clickTributes™ funeral home client and complete and submit an online form, Condolence or Tribute.

We do not collect any personally identifying information about visitors. However, when you complete and submit an online (i) form (ii) Condolence or Tribute, the information you submit (e.g. your name, email address etc.) is added to our electronic mailing list. Occasionally, clickTributes™ and the funeral home client may use that information to notify you of updates, upcoming events and new products or services. clickTributes™ will not share the information you submit with any outside company. Such information is not provided to either our sponsoring companies, our supporters, or any other party. But, from time to time upon request, we will provide your submitted email address to the family of a deceased person you submitted an online Condolence or Tribute to, for the express purpose of the family to communicate directly with you.

clickTributes™ does not use cookies. Cookies are text files, sent from a Web server and placed on your computer's hard drive, that sometimes contain information about your Web surfing habits or preferences. Cookies are designed to make Web sites easier to use and access. For example, by accepting a Web site cookie, you would not have to type in your user ID or password after the first time you arrived there. (Instead, the site would automatically recognize you through a connection with the cookie). The use of cookies is a normal Internet business practice and you'll find them employed by many Web sites. However, cookies can be used to compile a list of information about the computer user, which information is greater than just a password. Cookies are also used to monitor to what site a person travels after he or she leaves a certain site, as well as which banner advertisements attract a user. Many people fear that the information on the cookies could be correlated to an individual by name, and that that person's privacy, and perhaps anonymity, on the Web could be compromised.

IP Addresses

An IP (Internet Protocol) address is a number assigned to your computer when you surf the Internet. Servers scattered around the world uses these addresses to direct your Web browsers. While an IP address can be associated with an individual computer, the IP address does NOT automatically identify the name of the computer's user or its purchaser.

The server that hosts this site is capable of identifying and storing the IP addresses of visitors to the site as well as the IP address from which they came to the site. clickTributes™ is unable to link the IP addresses to anything personally identifiable about you, so you can and will remain anonymous to us. We use these IP addresses for the purposes of system administration and looking at overall aggregate site usage and will not provide them, or data associated with them, to outside parties, including advertisers, unless required to do so by law, or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with the legal process, or (ii) respond to claims of a violation of the rights of third parties.

Our Commitment to Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, the server that hosts this site has put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure any information we collect online. As you know, there have in the past been incidents where third parties unlawfully intercept transmissions and abuse or misuse your private identity information. Although we work very, very hard to protect the privacy of your name and email address to anyone outside our clickTributes™ administrators, we cannot and do not ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you transmit information at your own risk.

This Web site may contain links to other Web sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to this Web site.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes here, so visitors are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
